What is CIT -
CIT (Collagen Induction Therapy) aka Skin needling aka micro-needling is a natural way to induce collagen and elastin production for all skin types. Skin needling is a treatment designed to treat and reduce the signs of aging, pigmentation, skin tone and texture, scarring, enlarged pores, blackheads, milia's and stretch marks.
How does CIT work -
CIT is performed with our highly qualified skin therapist using a medical grade digital needling system. This needling system uses a series of microscopic needles that pass over the skin creating thousands of channels into the dermal and epidermal regions of the skin. These needles cause multiple, tiny micro-punctures in the dermis. This stimulates the healing response of the of the deeper layers and encourages your skin to make new collagen-rich tissue and elastin - two of the key building blocks of our skin. The micro-channels made during the treatment create pathways into the deeper layers of the skin allowing for active ingredients to penetrate to the deepest layers of the skin to deliver even more powerful results.

CIT promotes the production of collagen and elastin through the natural auto-repair mechanisms of the skin, reducing the appearance of imperfections such as fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture, pigmentation, open pores, blackheads, milia, scarring and stretch marks. CIT will also improve the communication between cells, sending out signals that increase the communication between the cells responsible for maintaining the barrier function, melanin, collagen and elastin in the skin.
